Two Hearts ~My Creative Sketches Nov Sketch~

Welcome to reveal day at My Creative Sketches, featuring the November sketch! This will be my last DT reveal for MCS and I am sad to have to say good-bye. I always enjoyed working with the sketches, but it is time to move on and move forward! That being said, watch out for some news from me a little later on!

Back to the sketch! This sketch just blew my mind with endless possibilities, but I finally settled on the design below. I knew I had to use this gorgeous wedding photo of my sister and her now hubby. I just loved it! Chivalry is not dead! Phraze Photography did all the photos for the wedding, and they did an amazing job! If you live locally and are in need of a photographer I would highly recommend them! Click on their name and it will take you to their website.

The papers I have used are by Authentique, collection Cherish. I just love the quality of these papers, and of course the pink! I knew it would be perfect with Cheryl's bouquet. I did a scalloped cut edge, free handed around the perimeter of the layout which I inked with a brown chalk ink and the wet abit with water to make the paper more pliable so I could mold it giving it more definition.

This is the gorgeous sketch, designed by Liz Chidester for My Creative Scrapbook. Can't you just see the endless possibilities this sketch has?

In this embellishment cluster on the bottom left hand corner of the photo I used some Le Mia Create collection, and I dry brushed them with gesso. I used some leaves from I am Roses, and put some cheese cloth around the flower cluster. I love the light airy feel it gives!

Here is a closer look at a different angle focusing more on the Prima Resin frame with a photo of the brides bouquet. Just a shout out for my daughter Jerica who made this bouquet from flowers from Costco! Goes to show you can really do things on a shoe string budget! Thats my girl! Tucked in at the top corner of the frame are some more white Prima flowers edged with a pink chalk ink.

Moving over the the bottom right hand corner of the photo, I fussy cut the feather/clock embellishment from Prima's Delight paper collection, tucking in and around it some white Prima flowers edged with a pink chalk ink. I used a Pink Paislee Artisan Elements ornament featuring the bride and grooms names. I have had those in my personal stash for SO long, it felt good to find a layout worthy of their beauty! I used some tiny clear alphas for their names.

The top right hand corner is a smaller cluster with some Prima roses and leaves and Prima light bulb.

I used these words by Blue Fern Studios from their Wedding Words package, and I left  the raw chipboard as they came, just doing a big of dry brushing with gesso to highlight them.

Here you can see a close up of the layout, and you can see for the circle part of the sketch I chose to hand stitch with burgundy embroidery floss. I love how it connects all the elements together.

On the top left and bottom right hand corner of the layout I used a Prima stencil called Flourish with Liquidtex Light Moldiing Paste. I am so in love with these stencils and the molding paste! On the upper corner of the pink paper I used a Rose Heart Corner from Prima, designed by Ingvid Bolme for their Junkyard Findings collectiion. I added a touch of pink chalk ink to the roses.

Thank you for stopping by! Please go to the MCS blog and link up your layouts using this sketch for a chance to win the wonderful prize that Pam has waiting just for you!

Be Blessed!
