~Zoe~ Sketch Challenge Stuck On U Sketches

Its Friday! Not just any Friday,  but REVEAL Friday at Stuck on U Sketches! Today, along with the gorgeous sketch by Leah, my sweet puppy Zoe is making her Debute! Zoe is actually going on 9 yrs old, but will always be a puppy in my heart!

I used Prima's Almanac line for this layout. You know me.... love my pink!

Here is the cute sketch designed by Leah! I have been wanting to do a layout along this line and was happy to see this sketch!

I made the bottom 2 layers of this large flower with some of the papers from the Almanac line and the Tattered Floral die from Tim Holtz. I added a white paper rose inked with Worn Lipstick Distress ink, into the center of the flower.

I made the 2 ruffly flowers with a flower die from Cheery Lynn Designs, and papers from the Prima line.  I love Dusty Attic laser cut chipboard and these leaves are no exception.  I wanted to really make them pop so I inked them in black distress ink, then stamped them with a script stamp and white paint.  Once that was dry I used Glossy Accents to give it the shinny, glass look.

I fussy cut the butterfly from the paper and covered it with Rock Candy Distress Stickles, and popped it off the page using Helmar's Liquid Pop Dots. I cut a piece of Prima pearl flourish and used it for the butterfly trail.

I love Prima's masks!  I used the gate stencil with light molding paste in different areas of the background paper and just love the elegance it added to the layout!

I think the alphas that are part of the Almanac line are really cute, and used some for the title.

That's it for today! Thank you so very much for stopping by! I love sharing my work with you, and really appreciate your comments and feedback!  Please remember to stop by SOUS and see what our other amazing designers came up with! Beauty......~SOUS~

YAY!!!! Its reveal Friday at Stuck on U Sketches, and we get to find out who wins April's blog candy, who the top 3 are AND an amazing new sketch by Leah! This is the 3rd layout I made with the March Limited Edition Kit from My Creative Scrapbook, and I still have lots of papers to make more!  GN Lucia has turned 1, and I wanted to share her excitement with you!  Who wouldn't love a cake all to yourself?

I'm so happy with the way this layout turned out!  I used a number of techniques as well as made some flowers by hand.

Here is the awesomess sketch by our very own Leah Schaeffer!

Here I used a Dusty Attic doily that I cut not quite in half and painted it with Ranger Paint Dabber in Snowcap. I then inked the edges using TH distress ink in Iced Spruce, from the winter seasonal collection.  I used a scripted stamp and stamped on the doily pieces with Black Archival ink. Once that was dry I then put a thick layer of Rock Candy Distress Crackle paint!  Phew! Lots of steps, but so worth it! lol

moving to the side a bit and you can see the flower I made with a Cheery Lynn Designs die [fun to use with my Cuttlebug]   I altered this Prima vine that came with the kit with TH distress marker in Worn Lipstick.  The original color was too peachy for me, so i used the marker on all the edges of the different layers and then gave them a good spritz of water so that it would blend together. Perfect! I just love the way it turned out!

Here is a close up of Lucia digging into her Birthday cake and I love the look of delight on her face!  The ornate oval frames came with the kit and I painted them with Snow Cap Distress Paint and touched the edges with Worn Lipstick Distress ink.

Another Dusty Attic piece used for the title.  I left it in it original state.  I know! Not the norm for me, is it?   I did some faux stitching around the edges of the papers as my machine is in need of repair.

Used a Prima bird house and bird from my stash.

This is it for this week's sketch challenge!  I hope you will take on the challenge yourselves, as they are so fun to do, and you might be one of the lucky ones to win the blog candy or Top 3! Please stop by Stuck on U Sketches to see what the other designers have come up with..... I know you will NOT be disappointed! Don't forget to link your layout at the bottom of the post on SOUS!
