hand painted freckles ~SOUS~

Happy Reveal Friday at SOUS! It is thundering and lightning as I type! I hope it isn't going to be too severe!  I had great fun working with this weeks sketch.  Of course it doesn't hurt when you have a great paper line and the cutest little subject to focus on!  This weeks layout features my neighbor girl Ryanne again. She and some friends got to go to the Zoo park in Winnipeg and got to chill with Rapunzel !  She painted their faces and they played "Ring around the Rosie" and all sorts of fun!  Every little girls dream!

I used the Little Miss collection by Bo Bunny.  Gorgeous papers to work with and so much fun to look at.  I love how the bright colors make the b/w photos just pop right off the page!

This weeks sketch is brought to us by the amazing Nanne! She has crazy amazing talent!

A close up of Ryanne's cute painted face!  Lots and lots of layers on this layout!

You can't really see it properly in this photo, but I altered this Dusty Attic by first painting it white, then sprinkling Fairy Dust on it while wet.  I then used 3 different colors of Glimmer Mist and spritz them on the flourish.

Here you can see that I rippled the thin strip of paper and dry brushed the tips of the folds with white acrylic paint.

here is a close up of my hand made flower that I colorized with Glimmer Mist and puffy paint on the edges.

On the large pearls on the paper I used Viva Decor pearl pen is a translucent rose.  In real life it gives them a lot of shine and dimension .

I did a faux stitch line around the outer edge of the beige pattern paper and pop dotted the cute saying.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and please drop by Stuck on U Sketches and check out the other amazing designers take on the sketch, and hey! Why don't you give it a try yourself?

~Ryanne! Stuck on U Sketches

Yay!  Its Friday! Is it hot enough for everyone? Sending prayers for all those who are dealing with drought, flooding, fire, and extreme heat. I pray you will all be safe and in good health. Now on to this weeks sketch reveal at Stuck on U Sketches! I used the February Limited Edition kit from My Creative Sketchbook.

I would like to introduce you to my cute neighbor girl, Ryanne, who lives across the street from me.  I get lots of enjoyment watching her antics  from my living room! She is a girl who knows what she wants! Her uncle did this photo shoot of her for her dance recital. It turned out to be her mom's Birthday the other day so I gave her this layout as a Birthday gift.  I couldn't help myself!

This weeks sketch is brought to us by our very own Nanne!

I used my kraft knife and cut through the paper along the flowers on the lower left side of the background paper so I could slip the layers and photo in behind.

I used half of a Dusty Attic circle w/flourish.  I soaked  the edges of the flourish with water and separated the layers. I painted it with Gesso, inked the edges and stamped it with a fine script stamp.

I used 2 of my newest Martha Stewart border punches on the layers of paper.  LOVE them!!!  I doodled some squiggly lines around the perimeter of the layout.

I printed off an extra picture of the balloons on photo paper and fussy cut them out, pop dotted them, and used ric rac for the string.

Just a close up of the main flower cluster.

The journaling is a reminder to Ryanne to remember who God made her to be and to "always be true to herself".

Thanks to everyone who takes the time to look at my work and for you encouraging comments.  They mean the world to me!  Please go on over the the SOUS blog and see how the other amazing designers have interpreted Nanne's awesome sketch! Make sure you give the sketch a try and back link it to SOUS and your layout could be chosen for the top 3!
