Delight ~SOUS Oct 25/13 Challenge sketch~

Welcome everyone to SOUS reveal Friday! I hope that you will be inspired by this weeks sketch and by the designs we have created for you! This weeks layout is filled with Prima goodies and fun chipboard elements! This photo is a few years old, featuring my great nieces again; Cassidy and Lucia! I think their Mom snapped this photo while they were on vacation somewhere.

I used Prima's Delight paper Collection which really has been a delight to work with!

Here is the sketch we had to work with. Beautiful isn't it? It was created by Nanne Harry, who is one of our Co-Creators and you can find her work on her blog by looking here. I really enjoyed this one because of all the layers it has!

Here is a close up of the main embellishment cluster. I think the vine is by Petaloo- it was a gift but can't remember for sure. lol  I used a Prima resin cherub and a Water Tap also by Prima in their Junkyard Findings collection designed by Ingvild Bolme.

Here is a close up of the water tap and flowers by I am Roses. I did a bit of a white wash with gesso on most of the elements in my layout.

 I did some masking on the base of my layout with a new Prima mask called Netting, I believe, and it was designed by Finnabair. I used a light molding paste and colourized it with a pink gelatos. I also used brown thread to zig zag around the perimeter of my layout. 

I used a large chipboard circle with a flourish on the side and I used an enamel embossing powder on it, and on the chipboard butterflies I also used a pink shabby enamel embossing powder on it.

 I used a MS border punch to make the decorative strip under the photo and the title is part of the Delight collection, in chipboard.  I distressed all the edges and inked them with a Prima chalk ink in pink.
