Well if feels like fall is coming where I live! But I am going to fit it with more summer layouts! It is reveal day at Stuck on U Sketches! I am excited at being back as I took the summer off for some me time! It felt good to have a few getaways, go for walks and bike rides, work on my yard....things like that. Things I haven't been able to do for years due to my health. This summer I made some changes so that I can still live life as best I can!
Enough about me! This little darlin' in my layout is one of my great nieces, Nila! She's been helping her parent with their Farmers Market Gardening, and if you look real close you will she her pocket full of peas!
I used Bo Bunny's Little Miss collection! It is such a fun collection with so many pinks!
Here is the sketch by one of our co-founders, Sandi Clarkson. She has since stepped down from the blog which devastated me! She was the one to ask me to join this team and I felt a strong connection to her. Sniff, she will be missed! At least we still have our other 2 amazing co-founders Nanne and Leah! I forgot to mention how much I loved this sketch! It did push me a bit, but growth is necessary! Love It!
well I FINALLY got my hot little hands on some Blue Fern Studio chipboard! My LSS has tried for so long to get it, but there always seemed to be some sort of road block in the way. The good Lord took it out and now we have it locally! I love this doily banner! I painted it with gesso first and then sprayed lots of Glimmer mist in numerous colors to compliment the layout.
Here is a close up of some Bo Bunny flowers, some I am Roses flowers, a super cute Prima wooden owl and a flouish diecut from Memory Box . It all got a kiss from some gesso!
close up of another flower cluster with a pink button, and some green pleated ribbon topped of with a white tear drop lacy ribbon.
Don't you just love the attitude in the pose of my sweet niece? Shes got it all figured out! More Bo Bunny and I am Roses flowers.
I did lots of gesso work on the flowers etc and just about everywhere!
In this photo you can see all the masking I did with different masks, and molding paste, different Glimmer Mist sprays and I out lined some with a black pen just to make them pop more and to help ground things with the black in my title work. I also used a new die from Memory box that I cut up into pieces and applied at the top of the two photos of setting the petals if you will to almost make it look like a flower was sticking out from behind framing them.
Thank you all so much for stopping by, for not forgetting about me totally, ha, I hope to hear lots of comments from you.....I need to hear that you all still love me! We all need to be needed!Right?
Now, make sure you go to SOUS and check out the rest of the amazing work that the girls have created to inspire you! Please step out of your comfort zone if you have too, and give this sketch a try! It won't fail, I promise and it will help you grow and growing is an awesome thing! Please link it back to the SOUS blog so we can all leave YOU some love! Your layout could be in the top 3! But you won't know if you don't try! I'll be looking for you!
Be Blessed everyone!
