Hello Stuck on U Sketches followers! Welcome everyone scrappy! It is sketch reveal Friday, a good day to celebrate! Today my hubby and I are celebrating our 27th wedding Anniversary! It seems like yesterday, yet it also seems like its been forever!....and I don't mean that in a negative way, lol!
Today we have a really cute sketch designed by Leah Schaeffer. It has some great lines and I wanted to stay true to the sketch and keep it simple, well, as simple as I can do! This layout is featuring my cousin's darling daughter, Madelyn. I love this photo [I did not take it] and how she is so care free and twirling around, of course, with a tiara on!
The paper line is called Prairie Chic, by Bo Bunny, and this girl is definitely a prairie chic! This is a fun line to work with!
Here is the cute sketch designed by Leah! Make sure you check out her blog!
Here is a close up of the main cluster of goodies! The flowers are all from I am Roses, and I hit them all with a touch of gesso. The resin bridge, lightbulb and tiny bling flourishes are by Prima!
Again, goodies from I am Roses and Prima....see the cute little wooden bird? Prima!
I used a Prima mask in a few places, but most noticeable is here in the top right hand corner. I think it fills that corner nicely with out being over stated. I used my sewing machine to do some stitching that really frames the whole layout nicely. To incorporate the 3 diagonal lines Leah used on her sketch I decided to make paper ruffles with a Martha Stewart border punch. I used some real lace at the top with a string of pearl beads to finish it off.
Just a close up of the title. The small print is actually a Kaisercraft rubon gone wrong, so I distressed the rest of the letters to make it match! Instant shabby chic!
In this photo you can see the distressed punched edge of the pink background paper. I love this little trick I learned from Shona Keehn! You just slide your punch along the edge and punch! No lining up... just go for it and make the edges ragged!
Well, thats it for me today! Please stop by the SOUS blog and check out the other designers creations, and be prepared to be inspired! When you try the sketch make sure you link it up to the blog so we all can see and leave you some lovin', and you just could be one of our top 3!
Be Blessed!
Beautiful Shabby deliciousness!

Stunning layout Bonnie! Love, love, love the diagonal ruffles from the punches and lace. The flower cluster is gorgeous and I do so love the Prima resin bridge (I will use mine - one day!!). Gorgeous page... Hugs xx
ReplyDeleteWhat great layering of that punch edge! Look so chic!!! I have a little princess of a gd who is a mix of prairie and chi herself, so I need to life this one LOL! I learned that trick from Shona too and use it often! BTW, I so had to laugh at your dizzy remark form yesterday! It does get that way, doesn't it?! Congrats on the anniversary!
