Happy reveal Friday at Stuck on U Sketches, fellow scrappers! Hard to believe its that time again! Hope most of you are actually having spring, as here in Manitoba Canada, spring still seems like a distant dream! Any ways, we have some good things to show you today! We have a double sketch this week! Now I must confess this was WAY difficult for me as I don't scrapbook this way. This is probably only the second time I've ever done one!
I decided to follow the sketch pretty much to the letter, minus a few things, plus a few others! I chose photos of my daughter and my son-in-law on their wedding day. They are sitting on separate benches facing each other but there is distance between them. The photos are taken from behind each of them and you can see the other in the blurry distance. Perfect for the sketch. I used some of Prima's new line Engraver, some card stock and some old pattern paper I had that went really well all together.
Here is the sketch, created by our very own talented Nanne! I still love her even though she put me through some stress! lol
Here is a close up of the left side of the layout.. I used some Dusty Attic Chippie and some Kaiserkraft wooden elements. The flowers are from I am Roses, and there are a couple chipboard pieces from the Engraver line.
Here is a close up of the right side of the layout. More Kaiserkraft wooden elements, and Engraver chipboard. I did machine stitching on the lighter background paper. The dark brown base cardstock was not the right shade of brown for me so I just used some black soot distress ink over top of it and it came out exactly how I had hoped!
I made up my first little collage of different close up pic of different areas of the layouts. Looks kind of sweet, don't you think?
Thanks so much for stopping by and encouraging me! Please go to SOUS's blog and check out what our other fabulous designers have created with this amazing double layout sketch! Make sure if you do the sketch that you link it up to Stuck on U Sketches and you could have your layout in the top 3!
Have a blessed weekend, everyone!
