Woo Hoo! Its reveal day for the Sept Sketch at My Creative Sketches! Today I want to introduce to you my newest great nephew Jacob! He is a preppy little man who takes life very seriously! What a sweetie he is!
Now boy layouts are always a struggle for me since I love flowers and pink so much. I knew this sketch would be the perfect one for me to do my first layout of Jacob. I used Bo Bunny papers from their Gabrielle line [and NO flowers!]
Here is the sketch by the talented Kim Keane!
I did alot of stamping with paint and masking with a new Prima mask with cogs and wheels. Nice and boyish.
I distressed the papers by ripping the paper and using Prima's distress tool on the background paper
I used lots of Dusty Attic chippies on here......all the circles and rings, plus the cogs/wheels. On the cogs/wheels I first inked them with Vintage Photo distress stain and then used Vintage photo distress embossing powder over top. It gives it a nice rusty look! For the rings surround the photos I first painted the DA chippies with white paint, then stamped a script stamp with black permanent ink and then applied Rock Candy distress crackle paint over top.
Don't you just love that poutie bottom lip? Thanks for stopping by and I hope I have inspired you to try out this fun sketch! Please check out what the other design team members have done with the sketch as I am sure you will find inspiration there as well! Now for the rules and this months prize!
