Not been well

I just want you all to know that I have not dropped off the face of the earth!  My dr changed a number of my medications last week Monday, and I have been suffering some pretty bad withdrawal symptoms ever since.  I can kinda see the light at the end of the tunnel, but it has been a rough ride.

I haven't been able to scrap, work or hardly be on the computer. I even could not go to a crop last weekend, which REALLY sucked!  I hope and pray that I will be able to scrap soon and start feeling like a normal person again.
Your prayers are greatly coveted.

Park Ave Kit from Swirlydoo- Sketch Challenge

I got my Swirlydoo Kit on April 6th  and made This beautiful layout for the Sketch Challenge!
My sister, Cheryl, who loves photography, took these photos of Jerica this past fall.  She did an awesome job.  This layout was a bit of a stretch for me, as blue is not really a color I like to work with.  The blue in my daughter's coat was my *saving grace*. The blue scroll I got from Niklindesigns1225, and I added a layer of the Blueberry Shimmerz paint on top to give it a bit of glitz. For the title, I used the Prima lettering that came with the kit and inked it up with Distress Ink in Vintage Photo and then wiped off the ink [which didn't stick to the vinyl part] making the letters pop and stand out much better.
I added the orangy colored Prima rosebuds I got in a RAK to bring out the red in my daughters hair, and then used some of the blue tole to wrap around the base of the flowers framing the larger photo.
I took the 3 white flowers and changed them up a bit by adding a mix of red and yellow ink to make the peachy color and lightly brushing it on with a fine paint brush. I also sprayed them with Smooch Spritz in Vanilla which I love the way it turned out.  Lots of nice sparkle, which you can't really see on the photo.  I swiped some of the edges with Distress Ink in Vintage Photo.

In this photo you can see some of the masking I did with my new Tim Holtz Mask called Timeworks.  Also I used the blue pearl strand that came with the kit and glued it on the diecut paper, following the line of the navy line.  I added some rub on butterflies I got in a Rak and that finished off my layout!  I hope you enjoyed looking!  Please come back and feel free to leave a comment! They are always a highlight for me to read!

Layout of the week!

I was so surprised and happy to see that my latest layout * Forever-You & Me* was chosen as Layout of the Week over at Pages in Time!  To some of you, maybe you don't scrapbook, or maybe not as passionately as I, something so small isn't a big deal, nothing to talk about.  For ME, it is a HUGE deal and a major compliment that other extremely talented scrapbookers, ones who have had their work published in magazines, and/or are on design teams and are well known in the scrapping world, like my work enough to give me this honor!  I feel so blessed to have found some lovely fellow scrapper/bloggers who encourage me, who share the same passion and style of scrapping with me.  One day, I will be on one of those design teams who gets to choose Layout of the Week, and make someone else's day!

Hope you had a blessed Easter.  He has Risen!...  He has Risen indeed! Once again, here is *Forever-You & Me*.
